Towards the end of the semester I like to give this assignment to my Digital Photography class. Even though the subject is completely open this is inevitably the assignment that students say they have the most difficulty with.

So, my challenge to you, the reader, is to take this photo assignment and give it a try. What do you think?

Photo Scavenger Hunt II – Color Schemes.

Tips:

  • This project may take a bit longer, so don’t procrastinate.
  • You will need to keep you eyes open and your camera on you at all time to catch all of these color schemes.
  • You may also have to set up some of this as still life photos using props.
  • You may enhance and or augment the found color schemes in Photoshop or Lightroom. For example, if you have a photo that has your 2 complimentary colors, like red and green, but it also has blue, if you want to enhance the contrast you could remove the blue using Lightroom or Photoshop.

Submission:

Please submit 10 photos. One each depicting the different color schemes listed.

Objective:

Find and photograph the various color schemes. Using a digital camera please photograph find and/or create a photo that delineates one of each of the various color schemes.
